Preview: Victoria vs Kelowna

The Victoria Royals (6-3, 12pts) open a four game homestand against the Kelowna Rockets (3-4-1-0, 7pts) with a double header Friday and Saturday.

The Royals return home after 4 consecutive on the road picking up 4 of a possible 8 points.  They earned back to back wins in Tri City and Vancouver.

It’s the first of 8 meetings of the season, last year the Royals won 5 and lost once in overtime.  Victoria took both preseason encounters by 4-1 and 3-2 scores.

Victoria is 3rd in the West after a 5-2 loss in Kamloops, with Logan Nelson providing a pair of assists in a losing cause.

Kelowna sits 7th in the West, coming off a 6-4 loss to the visiting Spokane Chiefs Wednesday, after earning a split in Prince George.

The Royals are 3-1 at home, while the Rockets (2-2-1-0) are .500 away from Prospera.
