In a rematch of last years first round playoff series, the
Victoria Royals (20-11-1-1, 42pts) visit the Prince George Cougars (20-10-1-1,
42pts) for a pair of games Friday and Saturday Dec. 17th and 18th.

The Royals beat the Cougars in 5 games last spring, and won
the season series 5-3.
It’ll be the first of 4 straight games against each other,
with the later two coming in Victoria
after the Christmas Break Dec. 27th and 28th.
It’s a critical set as the two BC Division clubs come in
tied for points in the West with 42, sporting almost identical win-loss records. Prince George
has a game in hand.
The Cougars are on a 2 game win streak, and have only 1
regulation loss in their last 12 games (10-1-0-1). They’re coming off a pair of road wins
against the T-birds 6-2 on Tuesday, and 3-2 against the Winterhawks.

earned Honourable Mention in the CHL Top 10 this week, while Victoria
