Ben Walker Signs with Victoria

 There was a new face a Victoria Royals practice this morning.


Forward Ben Walker will wear #10 and comes from the EDINA (eee-dine-ah) HORNETS of the Minnesota High School Hockey League.  

Last season he captained the Hornets squad in his junior year.

In the 2010 playoffs, the Hornets won the Class 2A state title and Walker chipped in four assists in six games.  Last season they won 4th in the State.
 
Known for his speed, the '93 born, 5’11” -175 pound right-hand shooting forward Walker scored 14 goals and added 13 assists playing 24 games for Team Southwest of the Minnesota Elite League this fall.

Next up for the Royals, a visit to the interior to face Kamloops friday and Kelowna Saturday. 
Victoria fans won't get their first look at Walker until Tuesday, November 29th when the Kamloops Blazers visit the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre for a 7:05 p.m. start.
