Kanzig named to U-17

They'll be checking his I.D. once, twice, maybe three times when he walks through the door to the World Under-17 Challenge in Windsor, Ontario tournament.  

The 6’5”, 229 pound man-child has played 20 games this season and has 36 pims. 

Kanzig keegan on U-17 by Voice_VicRoyals Kanzig is one of 22 players chosen to play for Team Pacific, and was selected in the first round of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.

Last season, Royals’ forwards Steven Hodges and Brandon Magee helped Team Pacific to a bronze medal victory at the 2011 World Under-17 Challenge in Manitoba. Magee scored the overtime winner against Team Quebec in the bronze medal game. At the 2009 World Under-17 Challenge in Port Alberni, BC, Royal’s forward Kevin Sundher was part of Team Pacific’s roster that earned a silver medal.


Kanzig and Team Pacific will begin competition on December 29. The gold medal game for the 2012 World Under-17 Challenge is scheduled for January 4, 2012.
