New Royals & Rankings

The two new Royals met and practiced with the club for the first time today and if first impressions are any indication, the new products come as advertised.

Jordan Fransoo (#4), the 93 born defenseman was steady through the drills and connected with a few one timers, while 94 born forward Dakota Conroy (#17) showed off his hands with a dazzling deke in a scoring drill.

Victoria begins 6 in 9 in Regina friday night, and then faces old teamate Kevin Sundher on Saturday in Brandon.  He'll be wearing #29.  Kevin was shut out along with his Wheat Kings 2-0 by the Blades in Brandon tonight.

The Royals offensive leader took 17.6 % of the clubs points with him, leaving Jamie Crooks the point leader (43), and goals (21).  Logan Nelson leads the team in assists (23), he's now second in league rookie scoring (40) .

The NHL Central Scouting released their mid-term rankings today, with 2 Royals making the cut.  Steven Hodges (55), and Logan Nelson (108).  Wade Murphy of the Jr. A Grizzlies comes in at 204.  The 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft takes place on June 22-23 at the Consol Energy Centre in Pittsburgh, PA.
