It’s the third meeting of the season, with both clubs winning their respective games on home ice.  On November 9th, defenseman Alex Roach scored two power play goals to lead the Hitmen to a 5-2 victory .

On October 18th in Victoria, Alex Gogolev scored twice against his former club as Victoria defeated Calgary Hitmen 3-1.  Zane Jones had the lone tally also against his former club.

The Royals fell 2-1 in a shoot out to the host Rebels Friday night and are now 2-1-0-1 on their 6 game road trip.  They won in Tri City and Spokane to kick off the trip, but after a loss at Kootenay are winless in 2.

The Hitmen who received honourable mentions in the CHL Top 10 this week, are coming off a 4-3 loss at the Chiefs Wednesday, wrapping up 9 consecutive on the road with a 5-4 record.  The loss snapped a 4 game win streak.

Calgary sits 3rd in the Eastern Conference, 9 points back of Edmonton for top spot.  Victoria is now 5th in the West, 1 back of Spokane, and 2 up on Tri City.
