ROYALS ANNOUNCE 2013 TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE

Camp begins August 19^th with the 2013 Intra-Squad Game set for August 28^th.

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce the schedule for their upcoming 2013 Draft, Rookie and Main Camps to take place at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

The Royals will host a two-day Draft Camp beginning on Monday, August 19^th for players selected in the 2013 Western Hockey League (WHL) Ba­­ntam Draft by the club. Draft Camp will feature one on-ice session open to the public from 11:00-12:30 p.m. ­on Tuesday, August 20^th.

Rookie Camp will span five days beginning on Wednesday, August 21^st and will consist of invited players born in 1997 or 1998. Participants will be divided into three teams in a round robin format with games beginning Thursday, August 22^nd and running through Sunday, August 25^th.

Main Camp will include all returning roster players from the 2012-13 WHL season, invited players born between 1994 and 1996 as well as Draft and Rookie Camp participants progressing through to Main Camp. On-ice sessions during Main Camp will begin the afternoon of Monday, August 26^th and conclude with the Royals’ 2013 Intra-Squad Game on Wednesday, August 28^th. Puck drop for the annual Intra-Squad Game is set for 7:05 p.m. at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre while entrance will be by donation to the GoodLife Fitness Children’s Foundation.
