The Rockets are ranked 5th in the CHL, and hold a 1 point lead on the 3rd place Blazers – the team that shut them out 3-0 on the Sunday, snapping Kelowna’s 4 game win streak.

Victoria fell 6-0 at Kamloops Tuesday as Kale Kessey had 2 goals and 2 asssists, while being out shot 33-12, earning Cole Cheveldave back to back shutouts.  The Royals collected 108 of 156 penalty minutes and remain 10 points back of Spokane for 5th in the West.

Victoria has a 1-6 record against Kelowna, last winning 3-2 at home October 13th.

The Rockets have won 27 of 32 at home this year, scored the 2nd most goals per game on average while allowing the 3rd fewest.  Kelowna’s power play is the 2nd most efficient in the league.

Victoria has 7 games left heading into the contest, playing the second of 5 games in 6 nights, part of 6 in 8.  After Kelowna Wednesday they return to the Island for a home and home against Vancouver Friday and Saturday, and a 5pm game Sunday at home against Portland.

The Royals who were without 6 players due to injury, are facing a Rockets squad that may be without their leading scorer Myles Bell, who suffered a lower body injury Sunday against Kamloops.
