SIGNS WITH CALGARY FLAMES

leading scorer signs NHL contract.

Royals would like to congratulate 1994-born forward Austin Carroll who has
agreed to a three-year entry level contract with the National Hockey League’s
(NHL) Calgary Flames.
The Scottsdale, AZ product has spent his entire WHL career (2011-2015) with the Royals. Carroll ranks as the fourth-leading scorer in Victoria/Chilliwack franchise history with 196 points (95g-101a) in 268 games.
The 6-3, 214 lb winger was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round with the 184th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.
Carroll was selected by the Chilliwack Bruins in the
2009 WHL Bantam Draft in the ninth round, 179th overall. Before
Carroll joined the Royals, he played one season with the Coquitlam Express of
the BCHL where he skated in 42 games and posted 11 points (6g-5a) and 28
penalty minutes
The Royals will have home ice advantage in the first round of
the 2015 WHL Playoffs vs. the Prince George Cougars, with Game 1 & 2 of the
best-of-seven series occurring at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Game 1 will
take place tomorrow and Game 2 on Saturday, March 28th. Puck drop
