ROYALS HOST SILVERTIPS FOR FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT

BC – The Victoria
Royals will welcome the Everett Silvertips to Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on
Friday for the final home game of the regular season. Friday’s contest is Fan
Appreciation Night with puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
RECORD
SETTING: The
Victoria Royals have scored 237 goals this season, which is two markers away
from breaking the franchise record for most tallies scored in a single season.
The current record was set last season when the club scored 238 times.
GONE
STREAKING: With
back-to-back shutouts over the weekend, Royals’ goaltender Coleman Vollrath’s
shutout streak sits at 129:31 minutes. Vollrath’s last goal against came at the
10:29 mark of the third period on Wednesday, March 11th vs. the
Kelowna Rockets. The Royals’ record for the longest shutout streak is held by
Patrik Polivka at 139:04 minutes during the 2013-14 season, while the franchise
mark is 153:56 set by Matt Esposito in the 2006-07 campaign.

The

Royals will have home ice advantage in the first round of the 2015 WHL Playoffs
with Game 1 & 2 of the best-of-seven series occurring at Save-On-Foods
Memorial Centre. Game 1 will take place on Friday, March 27th and
Game 2 on Saturday, March 28th. Puck drop for both contests is scheduled
