GRIFFEN OUTHOUSE NAMED VAUGHN WHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Victoria,
BC- The
Western Hockey League today announced that Victoria Royals’
goaltender Griffen Outhouse has been named the Vaughn
WHL Goaltender of the Month for February.
A
native of Williams Lake, BC, Outhouse appeared in six games for the Royals this
past month and registered a 5-0-1-0 record with a 1.58 goals against
average (GAA), a 0.940 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout.
The
5-11, 175 lb rookie netminder has played in 23 games for Victoria this season
and has collected a 14-3-3-1 record to go along with four shutouts, a 1.83 GAA
and a 0.939 SV%. He currently leads all WHL goaltenders in both GAA and SV%.
Outhouse
has contributed to the Royals allowing the second fewest goals in the WHL to
this point.
The
Royals will wrap-up their four-game road-trip this Friday in Vancouver for a
coastal-clash against the Giants at 7:30 p.m.
Victoria will return home on Saturday, March 5th to
take on the Vancouver Giants with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m. Saturday’s contest is the Royals’
Hockey for Hospitals Night where the team will help raise money for emergency
room electric stretchers at The Royal Jubilee and Victoria General Hospital. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Select Your
