BC- The Canadian
Hockey League (CHL) today announced that Victoria Royals’ forward Tyler Soy has
been named the CHL Player of the week.
Soy, a
Cloverdale, BC native recorded nine points (5g-4a) in the Royals’ final three
games of the regular season. On Monday, the WHL also announced Soy as their
player of the week.
The 1997-born centre is in his third full season with the club. In 72 games with Victoria, Soy finished second in team scoring with 85 points (46g-39a). Soy led the team in goals with 46 and broke the Royals’ record for most markers in a single season.
In 213
career regular season games with Victoria (2013-2016), Soy has recorded 90
goals and 90 assists.
