Victoria,
BC – The
Victoria Royals today earned the 10th spot in the Week 21 BMO CHL
Top 10 rankings. The honour marks the first time in franchise history the club
has been nationally ranked.
The
Royals have earned honourable mentions in the BMO CHL Top 10 four times this
year before being named to the list today. The BMO CHL Top 10 ranks the top
teams in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) as selected by a panel of National
Hockey League Scouts.
Fans
will get their final look at the Royals tonight when they host the Tri-City
Americans before embarking on a seven-game road trip. Following tonight’s game,
Victoria will not play a home game until March 7th.

defeating Kamloops, Kelowna and Vancouver on its most recent road trip. Ben
Walker has been on fire for the Royals with nine points (3g-6a) in his past six
games while Brandon Magee continues to pace Victoria and now has 50 points
(20g-30a) on the season.
