The Royals take 3 of a possible 4 points in the two game set after a 7-2 victory over the Hitmen the night before scoring 13 goals in total. They wrap up their four game homestand with 2 wins, and a loss in both the shoot out and overtime.
Victoria held leads of 3-0, 5-1 and 6-3 throughout the game, and outshot Calgary 43-34 overall.
The Royals went 3 for 3 on the power play in the first and 3 for 5 overall, while allowing 2 goals on 5 Hitman man advantages.

Victoria remains 3rd in the West, with just a single point lead over Seattle who beat Spokane 4-0 Wednesday.
Ben Walker opened the scoring on the power play converting on a passing play from Travis Brown and Joe Hicketts. Austin Carroll converted on a pass from Walker for his team leading 26th goal with the man advantage to take a 2-0 lead. Axel Blomqvist banged home his 19th when the point shot came off the back wall, also on the power play with just 23 seconds left in the first period taking a 3-0 lead to the 2nd.
Padakin banged one in off a Royal defender to get the Hitmen on board in the middle frame early. Brady Brassart hit the post on a wide open net, which eventually lead to Logan Fisher regaining the three goal lead with his 5th. Ben Walker found the top corner short side for his 22nd of the year to make it 5-1 Royals. Calgary would add a pair before the 2nd was out to cut the lead to two on goals by Jaynen Rissling on the power play, and Chase Lang.

Padakin (2g 1a) and Brassart (1g 2a) lead the way for the Hitmen with three point nights. Rissling and Tambellini had a goal and assist each, while Greg Chase chipped in with a pair of helpers.
Ben Walker was the 2nd star for the Royals with 2 goals and an assist, Austin Carroll had a hat trick one night earlier added another goal and assist and Joe Hicketts had a pair of helpers.
Victoria played without Logan Nelson who’s suspension is TBD after supplemental discipline versus Calgary one night earlier.
The Royals are just one win away from setting the franchise record for wins as they sit at 35 victories and are 3 points away from tying the franchise record in points (77).
Victoria heads out on a three game BC Division road trip with stops in Kamloops Friday, Kelowna Saturday and Vancouver Monday afternoon at 2pm.
