BC- The Victoria
Royals are pleased to announce that the team has signed 1998-born goaltender
Griffen Outhouse to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Outhouse
currently plays for the Cariboo Cougars of the BC Major Midget Hockey League
and will continue the 2014-15 season with the Prince George, BC based club.
Outhouse recorded the victory in his lone contest with the Cougars.
The 5-11,
165 lb netminder spent the 2013-14 season with the
Pursuit of Excellence (POE) Under 16 team of the North American Prospects
League. With the POE team, Outhouse posted a goals against average of 2.88 to
go along with a 0.882 save percentage in 12 appearances.
“Griffen
continues to work hard at fulfilling his potential as a goaltender,” Royals’
General Manager Cameron Hope said. “Griffen is taking his game to a
higher level this year, we are happy to welcome him to the Royals’ family.”
Outhouse,
a native from Williams Lake, BC was listed to the Royals’ 50-man protected
player list in 2013.
