F Mitch Skapski Traded to Saskatoon

Forward Mitch Skapski goes to Saskatoon.

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals today announced that the club has acquired a fifth round pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for forward Mitch Skapski (1996) and a fifth round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Victoria sends Skapski to Saskatoon after acquiring the Abbotsford, BC native in October of last season from the Everett Silvertips. In 83 regular season games with the Royals over the past two seasons, Skapski has recorded 14 points (4g-10a) and 47 penalty minutes.

The Royals are back in action tonight to take on the seventh ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League, the Medicine Hat Tigers. Victoria will close out their seven game homestand with a two-game series against BC Division rivals the Prince George Cougars on tomorrow and Saturday.
