2015 WHL Bantam Draft pick.

Victoria,
BC- The Victoria
Royals are proud to announce the signing of 2000-born defenceman Mitchell
Prowse to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement.
Prowse was
drafted at the 2015 WHL with Victoria's second round pick, 35th overall.
“Mitchell
is a smart and talented defenseman,” Royals’ General Manager Cameron Hope said.
“He has a bright future in the WHL and we are pleased to welcome Mitchell and
his family to the organization.”
The product
of Kelowna, BC currently plays for the Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) Midget
Prep White Team of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). In 43 games
with the club, Prowse has recorded 20 points (4g-16a) and 46 minutes in
penalties.
Last
season, Prowse played for the OHA Bantam Prep and collected seven assists along
with 24 penalty minutes in 18 contests. The 6-1, 180 lb blueliner helped the
OHA win the CSSHL Championship and scored three points (1g-2a) in four games.
Victoria will round-out their six-game homestand on Friday,
January 29th against the league leading Lethbridge Hurricanes.
