The Victoria Royals overcame a 2-1 deficit by scoring the next 7 goals, cruising to an 8-2 win over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers Wednesday.

“Tonight we went back to playing to our strengths…we did a lot of little things right.” Said Head Coach Dave Lowry,

“We put pucks to the net, we got into the area to score goals and hung around and battled to score.”

Ethan Price scored twice and Dante Hannoun had a 3 point night with a goal and two assists, as the Royals had 7 different goal scorers and 6 with multipoint games.  It was their biggest offensive output of the season, as only 3 skaters were held off the score sheet.

The Royals trailed 1-0 after 20 minutes, but scored 4 times in the middle frame and added 4 more in the third to earn points in 4 straight games (3-0-1-0).

“When we started putting pucks in, started using our speed, getting a little more physical, we began creating chances…and then we were able to capitalize.” Said Lowry

Ralph Jarratt and Matthew Phillips had a goal and assist each, while Marsel Ibragimov, Regan Nagy and Tyler Soy shorthanded got the other goals for Victoria.  Jared Dmytriw and Logan Fisher picked up a pair of assists each.
