Victoria drops 3-2 decision
to Kamloops.

Kamloops, BC- The Victoria Royals fell to the Kamloops Blazers 3-2 when they
surrendered a late third period goal on Wednesday night at the Sandman Centre.
The Blazers’ Collin Shirley scored the game winning goal, his second of
the night, with 32 seconds remaining in the contest. The Royals’ Vladimir
Bobylev, fifth goal of the season, and Dante Hannoun (4) notched the goals for
Victoria. Kamloops’ other marker was
scored by Matt Needham.
Victoria netminder Coleman Vollrath stopped 31 of the 34 shots fired at
him, while Kamloops’ goaltender Connor Ingram turned aside 27 of the 29 shots
he faced.
Neither
team was able to capitalize on the man-advantage. The Royals went 0/2=0.0%,
while the Blazers went 0/4=0.0%.
The Royals will head to Spokane for a two-game set against the Chiefs on
Friday and Saturday. Puck drop for both games is slated for 7:05 p.m.
Victoria returns home on Tuesday, October 27th against
the Lethbridge Hurricanes for Winter Driving Awareness Night. Puck drop is
