COLEMAN VOLLRATH NOMINATED FOR VAUGHN CHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

BC- The Western
Hockey League today announced that Victoria Royals’ goaltender Coleman Vollrath
has been nominated by the WHL for the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week.
The 6-0,
170 lb netminder from Calgary, AB appeared in two games for the Royals this
past week and registered a 2-0-0-0 record with a 1.50 goals against average
(GAA), a 0.944 save percentage (SV%).
In
Saturday’s 5-1 win versus the Spokane Chiefs, the 1995-born goaltender tied
former Royal goaltender Patrik Polivka for most victories in club history at
56. Vollrath, who has spent his entire junior career with
the Royals, is currently four wins behind former Chilliwack Bruin Lucas Gore
(60) for the most victories in franchise history.
This marks
the second time in his career that Vollrath has been nominated for the award.
Vollrath won his first Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week award in March of last
season.
In four games with Victoria this season, Vollrath has posted a 4-0-0-0 record with a GAA of 2.25, and a SV% of 0.917.
Vollrath is
in his fourth and final WHL season and has registered a mark of 56-35-4-4 to go
along with seven shutouts, a 2.86 GAA, and a 0.909 SV% in 118 games played.
