ROYALS’ PROSPECTS TO PARTICIPATE IN 2015 CANADA WINTER GAMES

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals today announced that signed prospects Scott Walford, Ryan Peckford, Brayden Pachal and Dylan Myskiw have been selected to represent Team BC Under-16, Team Alberta Under-16, Team Saskatchewan Under-16 and Team Manitoba Under-16 respectively at the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

Walford a native of Coquitlam, BC plays for the Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) Midget Prep Team of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League. In 21 games for the OHA, Walford has registered five goals and eight assists for 13 points to go along with 41 minutes in penalties.

The 6-0, 185 lb defender was selected by the Royals with the club’s first round, 18^th overall pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.

Peckford who hails from Stony Plain, AB skates for the St. Albert Sports Raiders of the Alberta Midget Hockey League. Peckford has tallied 17 points (9g-8a) and 12 penalty minutes in 18 contests.
The 5-11, 170 lb forward was drafted by the Royals in the second round, 31^st overall in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.

Pachal, a 5-11 160 lb blueliner has appeared in 23 games with the Moose Jaw Generals of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League and has posted five points (1g-4a) and 28 penalty minutes.

The Estevan, SK product was the Royals’ second round, 40^th overall selection in the WHL Bantam Draft this past spring.

Myskiw, a Winnipeg, MB native currently plays for the Winnipeg Thrashers of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League. With the Thrashers, Myskiw has posted seven wins and one shutout to go along with a goals against average of 2.26 and a 0.917 save percentage in 12 appearances.

The Royals selected the 5-11, 155 lb Myskiw in the sixth round, 112^th overall in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 2015 Canada Winter Games will take place in Prince George, BC from February 13, 2015 to March 1, 2015.

Victoria faces off tomorrow night against the Prince Albert Raiders, and then on Friday night vs. the Vancouver Giants for their fourth annual Teddy Bear Toss Night.
