FOR TWO GAMES THIS WEEK

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals will continue
their seven game homestand when they host the Spokane Chiefs on Friday and
Saturday night with puck drop for both games at 7:05 p.m.

THE NATION: Royals’
defender Joe Hicketts and Head Coach Dave Lowry are with Team Canada at the
World Junior Championships in Montreal and Toronto. Team Canada has played in
two preliminary games in the tournament so far and has posted an 8-0 win over
Slovakia and a 4-0 victory against Germany.
Hicketts has tallied one assist in
the two contests. The product of Kamloops, BC is the first Royals’ player to
represent Team Canada at the annual tournament. This season Hicketts has
amassed 38 points (8g-30a) in 31 games for Victoria.
MULTI-GOAL
MADNESS: Victoria
Royals’ forward Austin Carroll had a two goal game in a 4-0 win against the
Prince George Cougars. So far this season, the Royals have held a record of
8-3-1-1 when a player has a multi-goal game. Last season, Victoria registered a
mark of 12-2-1-2 when a player scores two goals in a contest. Since the Royals
moved to Victoria, the club has taken part in 82 games (including playoffs)
where a Royals’ player has registered a multi-goal game. In those 82 contests,
the Royals have compiled a 54-17-6-5 record.
