BC- The Victoria
Royals are pleased to announce that the team has signed 15-year-old goaltender
Dylan Myskiw to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Myskiw a
product of Winnipeg, MB currently plays for the Winnipeg Thrashers of the
Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League. With the Thrashers, Myskiw has posted seven
wins and one shutout to go along with a goals against average (GAA) of 2.20 and
a 0.918 save percentage (SV%) in 18 appearances.
The 6-0,
155 lb netminder spent the 2013-14 season with the
Winnipeg Hawks Bantam AAA team of the Winnipeg Bantam AAA Hockey League. In 16
games with the Hawks Myskiw recorded a 2.57 GAA, a 0.913 SV% and two shutouts.
“Dylan is a
talented goaltender who has high potential,” Royals’ General Manager Cameron
Hope said. “We are pleased to have Dylan as part of our future plans.”
The Royals
selected Myskiw in the 6th rd, 112th overall in the 2014 WHL
Bantam Draft.
